R. RAJESH KANNAN, M. RAJASIMMAN, N. RAJAMOHAN, B. SIVAPRAKASH,

Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering 2010, Volume 4, Issue 1,   Pages 116-122 doi: 10.1007/s11783-010-0006-7

Abstract: In this study, the biosorption of Malachite green (MG) onto Turbinaria conoides, brown marine algae,The optimum initial pH and temperature values for MG removal were found to be 8.0 and 30°C, respectivelySorbent dosage was found to strongly influence the removal of MG.Equilibrium studies were carried out to test the validity of the Langmuir ( = 66.6 mg/g and =0.526 mL mol/L) and the Freundlich ( = 1.826 and = 3.751 mg/g) isotherms.

behavior of Fe–Cr–Ni based alloys exposed to molten MgCl2–KCl–NaCl salt with over-added Mg

Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering 2023, Volume 17, Issue 10,   Pages 1608-1619 doi: 10.1007/s11705-023-2349-1

Abstract: Adding Mg into molten MgCl2–NaCl–KCl salt as a corrosion inhibitor is one of the most effectiveafter 500 h immersion test at 700 °C when the alloy samples directly contacted with the over-added Mgindicates that Ni preferentially leaches out of alloy matrix due to the tendency to form MgNi2/MgThese results suggest that direct contact of liquid Mg with Ni-containing alloys should be avoided duringusing Mg as a corrosion inhibitor for MgCl2–NaCl–KCl or other chlorides for high temperature
